On Wednesday 28th June, several Year 9 and 10 students attended the annual Dante Alighieri Poetry Competition at Melbourne University. Our students had to learn Italian poems and recite them to judges. They all did a wonderful job of learning their poems and were able to recite them without looking at any notes. We then had a wonderful day having lunch and gelati on Lygon Street, Carlton before returning home. We have a finalist, Herta Fejzolli in Year 10 which is excellent news and a credit to Herta and her hard work. Many of our students received honourable mentions and distinctions for their efforts and their certificates will be awarded to them at recognition assemblies this term. Well done to all of the students who took on the challenge and participated. We are all very proud of you!
